Someone talk me out of blowing $300+ for that same useless, stick-on, roush ducktail spoiler.

Edit- how come sometimes high res images appear non so high res?

Click on "Expand" on the image. Then right click what opens up and click "View Image" or if Chrome "Open Image in New Tab."

the only thing drilled rotors are good for is looking cool, which is about as effective as any body parts.

Yeah in pics it does look cheesy, except I have these mustang crazed neighbors a block away (3 mustangs and a challenger) and one of them has that ducktail and it looks real good irl.

oh because Mustangs can't stop or turn, right? Already have a lower ride with bigger discs and tires so the ride is pretty decent already. And also what offroad said, don't see why I'd need lighter discs when the car is already made of huge chunks of iron

I know that but looking at it in the post it looks blurry, or is it just me?

As someone who drives a 2000 mustang and put the aforementioned brake kit on theirs 6 months ago...yes

Edit: I think you edited yours once. or twice. There was nothing about your upgrades so. You good. Your stang, it's good too.

Oh yeah sorry I noticed I first came off as defensive; I've always said if someone drives a stock mustang, then they're missing out on a lot, especially if they expect some performance.

What else do you have done to your mustang?

Do you plan on taking the car above 150 MPH? If not, I don't see why you'd need it. I'd rather spend that money making the car go faster.

Trust me I go to school where they have a roush direct dealer and I can tell you they look crappy

Yeah only problem is the next step in going faster is boost. Already have good flow and cams. Although an aluminum drive shaft would help... and I just remembered higher compression pistons would really set me up for maximum NA power. And for either pistons or boost, I'll probably need headers. Ok thanks I'm convinced I don't need a stick on plastic bit

It's cool, I didn't phrase the first comment right.
Full disclamer before mods: PoSix mustang owner here
Running on a tight budget with a sixxer isn't easy. I have...full Konis on all 4 corners lowered to a rake, the above mentioned brakes, bama tuner (mostly for the 3.73 rear gears), Trac lok'ed diff off an older stang, welded up a simple divorced exhaust, and rock a $40 dollar tractor paint job.
She doesn't win races but she'll drift solid all night long, and that's how she won my heart

What about you, what does your S197 have?

Neither my brakes nor budget are quite that big. Damn them pretty

Hey if you ask me, the cars you aren't afraid to beat on are the most fun; and a sixxer, especially one with a $40 paint job, is one way to have a blast, especially if you got that lsd on the back. I had myself a mkII supra with somewhere just north of a whopping 100 hp and it was awesome fun in a below-the-speed-limit kind of way.

My GT's got some high rise cams, cold air intake, and a sweet sounding exhaust aft of the cats. Sounds really mean and actually burbles and lopes like an old school muscle car. Grips like a demon though thanks to 10 inches of grippy rubber all around so I'm always afraid to pull off any stunts that aren't in a straight line haha

"Oh no, I scratched my paint up/smashed my bumper/cracked a control arm, however will I car again without a can of spray paint/zipties/trip to the junkyard?"

See now that sounds like a Mustang done right, burbly v8 and all, but sweet honey jesus 10 inches on all fours that'd have to be so much grip. Not that it's a bad thing, just definitive proof that Mustangs CAN turn and stop
